Peter is a South Australian emerging artist whose practice is primarily in the field of painting. He is interested in exploring the space between binaries, and the schemas that drive the behaviour of people and society. This he views through the lens of contemporary themes in identity, body, memory and culture.
Following on from a long, widely-published career as a political cartoonist and illustrator, Peter’s observations of our frailties and virtues will continue to inform his art practice. Experimenting with the materiality of paint, He seeks to convey something of the psychology of his subject, and a commentary of our times.
